WSP – Higher and Degree Apprenticeships

You will study towards a BEng or BSc in one of the following subject sat a University or education provider over a five-year period on either a block or day release basis, or a Level 4 qualification over two years.
- Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
- Building Services Design Degree Apprenticeship
- Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship
- Project Management Degree Apprenticeship
- Transport Planning Degree apprenticeship
- Rail Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s most exciting engineering and design projects.You may be involved with taking concepts, ideas and designs from an architect or engineer and creating drawings using the software to match those given. If you’re pulling together packages of drawings you might need to print, trim and fold these to be sent off to site or the client.You will have the opportunity to learn new skills using specialist software suited to the area of the business you are working in, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
The degree apprenticeship scheme offers you the potential to continue onto further study and work towards masters. Everyone on the scheme will also have the opportunity to become registered with a relevant professional institution.
What you’ll need
- You’ll be in your final year or have completed either your A Levels (or equivalent qualification type) with grades BBC and a grade C minimum in Physics, Maths or Further Maths, or a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma with grades DDM or above in an engineering related subject with a further maths component.
- You’ll have five GCSEs (or equivalent qualification type) at grade C / Level 5 or above which must include English, Maths and Science with a least a grade B / Level 6 in Maths.
