Skanska – Higher & Degree Apprenticeships (Trainees)
Skanska is one of the worlds leading construction groups with expertise in construction, development of residential and commercial projects and public-private partnerships. They carry out all aspects of the project from financing, through design and construction, facilities management, operation and maintenance.
The trainee programme gives you a great opportunity to gain further qualifications at university or college. You’ll study for a part-time course, financed by Skanska, while earning a salary. Achieve a level 4 or 7 qualification, spending 20% of your time in off-the-job learning and 80% of your time applying your learning to your chosen profession.
On-the-job training gives you the chance to earn while you learn. As a trainee you’ll study for a part-time college or university course funded by Skanska , while earning a salary. You’ll be able to study for a degree or higher apprenticeship, usually through a day-release study programme, while gaining valuable practical experience on the job.
Opportunities exist in
- Engineering: Mechanical, civil, digital and electrical engineering
- Operations – planner, estimator, construction supervisor, buyer, design technician, quantity surveyor
The qualifications required to apply for the trainee programme will vary depending on the role. For some roles, you will need to have completed a level 3 qualification (BTEC, A-levels or equivalent).
