Skadden: The first year of your training contract will be divided into two, six-month seats where you will gain experience in corporate transactions and litigation and international arbitration. In your second year, you will be given the opportunity to discuss the remaining practice areas in which you would like to gain experience. In addition, there is an opportunity for you to undertake a secondment to the Hong Kong or Moscow office during the second year of your training contract. Skadden has 23 offices across the globe and the London office is the gateway to the European practice dedicated to top-end, cross-border corporate transactions and international arbitration. Lawyers focus primarily on corporate transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, leveraged finance and banking, tax, corporate restructuring and energy projects. They also advise in international arbitration, litigation and regulatory matters. Skadden pays for the GDL and LPC course fees and provides a maintenance grant.
