Siemens – Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
Siemens offer higher and degree apprenticeships which take between two – four years to complete and combine studying with ‘hands-on’training. Here are some of the options:
Degree Apprenticeship – Digital and Technology Solutions
Over four years, you’ll work towards a professional qualification while gaining hands-on experience in one of the biggest companies in the world. You will lead digitalisation in key IT disciplines including Business/Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Development, Testing, Project Management and Information Services.
Entry requirements – You will have three A-levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above , one of which must be a numerate subject and Maths along with at least a grade C or 5 in GCSE English Language and Maths.
Degree apprenticeship – Power engineering
Over four years, you’ll work towards a professional qualification while gaining hands-on experience. Lead digitalisation key business areas here at Siemens together with our customer and focus on areas that will shape the future designing electrical systems and products
Entry requirements -You will have three A-levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above (obtained or predicted), one of which must be in Maths and another numerate subject, along with at least a grade C or 5 in GCSE English Language and Maths.
Degree Apprenticeship – Project Management
By the end of the 48 month degree apprenticeship in Project Management you will be able to take up the responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of projects or subsets of projects of varying complexity and criticality to the business. You will have three A-Levels at grades BBC/BCC or acceptable alternatives eg. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma, Extended Diploma at Level 3 (Grades DMM)
Degree Apprenticeship -Risk and Safety Management
By the end of the degree apprenticeship in Risk and Safety Management you will be able to establish the context of a problem, identify all hazards including those with the potential to cause a major accident, analyse the associated risk, evaluate the risk against acceptance criteria, and propose ways of treating the risk such that it is eliminated or reduced and maintained as low as reasonably practicable.Fully funded degree study programme , MSc Health and Safety Risk Management.
- You will have three A-Levels at Grades BBC/BCC or acceptable alternatives eg. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma, Extended Diploma at Level 3 (Grades DMM)
Engineering Apprenticeship
As a Higher Apprentice, you will experience work in a broad range of departments with a rotational placement programme enabling you to build up relevant knowledge and experience. The rotation will include Engineering (design and development), Field/Operational Services (customer solutions run and supported by Siemens) and our on-site award winning Factory (with a wide range of opportunities).
Entry requirements -A levels (A* – C) including Maths and Physics. They also welcome equivalents such as BTEC Level 3 certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with an overall merit or distinction.
Electrical Engineering
A higher apprenticeship where you will Lead digitalization key business areas at Siemens together with our customers and focus on areas that will shape the future designing electrical systems and products
Entry requirements –
- You will have achieved or be on track to achieve 3 A-levels or equivalent at grade B or above in maths and a science
- You will have at least 5 GCSE’s including maths and english language at grade 5(C) or above.
Business Improvement
This 3 year higher apprenticeshipoffers the chance to develop skills in business improvement across a wide variety of projects which aim to make processes more efficient, cost effective and simpler for our customers and employees. As part of the role, you’ll become fully accredited in ‘Lean Six Sigma'(a recognized methodology for running business improvement projects) and will lead your own improvement projects.
Entry requirements – You will have achieved or be on track to achieve 3 A-levels or equivalent at grade B or above in a social science, economics or business studies.
Data Analytics – 2 year programme for this higher apprenticeship.
