
DWF – Paralegal Apprenticeships
DWF have 12 offices across the UK and offer both legal and non legal apprenticeships. the Paralegal Trailblazer Legal Apprenticeship.
TheParalegal Trailblazer Legal Apprenticeship
You will work towards achieving a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which will be taught by BPP and DWP will cover all training costs. In addition BPP will provide you with the opportunity to study for a certificate in Higher Education, a qualification which is equivalent to the first year of a degree.This Paralegal Trailblazer qualification can lead to qualification as a solicitor.
You will either work in their Legal Services Centre, or in one of the insurance or commercial legal teams. Throughout the apprenticeship you will have the support of your team members, supervisor and a dedicated mentor. During the course of the two year apprenticeship you will gradually be exposed to more complex legal work.
Entry level requirements:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
- 3 C’s (or equivalent) at A-Level.
- As well as good academics, you must have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions and be able to work well as part of a team.
You do not need legal work experience to apply, but work and life experience is valuable. Part time work particularly in customer service or retail may be an advantage.
In your application they are keen to see your drive and determination for a career in law and a good understanding of the firm.
Non Legal Apprenticeships
DWF also offer non legal apprenticeships. These are designed to help you develop a career in a professional services firm undertaking roles in either finance, office management, IT, facilities or providing administrative support to a legal team.Non Legal Apprentices will study a range of modules, usually online, covering the topics required by the awarding body such as City & Guilds, BIFM or AAT. You need 3 C’s (or equivalent) at A level to apply.
