Dentons – Bright Future Apprenticeship Solicitor Programme
Dentons is an international law firm offering an apprenticeship that will allow you to qualify as a solicitor with an LLB university degree. This six-year programme combines work-based learning in their London office and part-time study with BPP University.
Whats involved?
You will work in their London office, in a variety of practices such as Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Corporate and Dispute Resolution. As you progress through your apprenticeship, you will be required to produce a portfolio with examples of work you have done in your practice. Examples of the type of work you will carry out are: preparing documents for a transaction, drafting a letter to a client and carrying out a piece of research.
As you progress through the programme, you will be given more responsibility, including running parts of cases and meeting with clients.
Studying
You will have one day a week to study and attend classes at BPP University. You will study by blended learning, with attendance at ‘live’online classes and regular face-to-face classes at the Law School. You will be provided with a range of materials and access to a virtual learning environment.
You will take exams and assessments throughout the six-year programme to meet the requirements for the LLB degree. You will also be required to pass the Solicitor Regulation Authority (SRA) centralised assessment, consisting of two parts.
Requiredqualifications
You need a strong record of academic and extra-curricular achievement. Ideally, Dentons would like to see seven GCSEs at grade B or above (including Maths and English) and A,B,B at A level.
