Bank of England – Level 4 and Degree Apprenticeships
The Bank of England offers 2 apprenticeship programme – level 4 and degree.
The Degree Programme is 39 months in length and helps talented people get started in their careers, while studying towards a fully funded degree. You’ll start with an introduction to the different types of work and you’ll get training on essential skills.
Alongside this, you will be enrolled on a part-time undergraduate degree with a reputable university. Your studies will complement the skills and on-the-job learning you will gain with us.
Apprenticeship Opportunities exist in the following areas:
- Data Science -If you are successful in securing a place on this programme, you could be allocated to one of the following areas: Data and Statistics Division (DSD), Financial Stability Strategy and Risk (FSSR) or Insurance.
- Digital & Technology Solutions -They have partnered with the University of Exeter, who will provide you with quality tuition as you study towards your undergraduate degree.
- Professional Economist – The University of Kent’s School of Economics deliver the Professional Economist Degree Apprenticeship
Applications
To apply for the Data Science Degree Apprenticeship you will need at least five GCSEs at grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths. You’ll also need to have achieved or be predicted three A-Levels at CCC or above, including Maths, or equivalent in IB.
To apply for the Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship you will need at least five GCSEs at grade C (4) or above, including English Language and Maths. You’ll also need to have achieved or be predicted the following: A-Level AAB or IB 34/665 or BTEC DDD.
To apply for the Professional Economist Degree Apprenticeship you will need at least five GCSEs at grade C (4) including GCSE Maths grade B (or 7) with and English grade C (or 4). You’ll also need to have achieved or be predicted three A-Levels (or equivalent) at BBB or above (or 120 UCAS points).
The Level 4 programme is 18-month in length and designed to help talented individuals get started in their careers, and see you grow in a number of key roles.
You will work towards one of the following professional qualifications:
Data Analyst , Level 4 Diploma
The training for Data Analyst covers concepts on data analysis, data structure, big data, processes and tools for data integrations. The key areas covered include:
- Identifying, collecting and migrating data
- Interpretation of data
- Statistical analysis and other analytical techniques such as data mining
- Producing performance dashboards
- Tools and techniques for data visualization
- Presenting results to stakeholder and making recommendations
Associate Project Management , Level 4 Diploma
The training for Associate Project Manager covers how to manage a project whether it be large or small, you will gain an understanding of what needs to be achieved with regards to good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills. The key areas you will cover will include:
- Project Governance
- Project Stakeholder Management
- Project Communication
- Project Leadership
- Consolidated Planning
- Budget and Cost Control
- Business Case and Benefits Management
- Project Scope/Schedule/Quality
- Resource Management
- Project Risk and Issue Management
Level 4: Information System Business Analyst (JustIT)
IS Business Analysts are problem solvers who play a critical role in enabling business change. They can make a difference to business success and how a business operates. The role embodies early and regular investigation and analysis that ensures the right IS solution is chosen to meet the required business need.
Applications
They want people who are eager to learn and serious about building a career in the financial sector.In terms of grades, they will be looking for a minimum of five GCSEs at C and above, including English and Math’s, and at least72 UCAS points (either passed or predicted) from up to three A Levels or equivalent using the 2017 UCAS Tariff System. For the Data Analyst Diploma at level 4 they require at least one of your A levels (or equivalent) to be in ICT or Math’s.
