They invest USD $272 billion globally on behalf of clients in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Their clients range from pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, financial institutions, insurers and wealth managers, to private individuals.
They offer apprenticeships in three areas, 2 years in length: Technology, Client Services and Business Operations.
Business Operations Apprenticeship: Distribution Operations is a global enterprise comprising myriad functions that support the success of the business, including Project Management, Business Analysis, Brokerage and Process Automation to name but a few.Over your two year apprenticeship programme, you will be based at Kingswood office in Surrey, where you’ll not only learn how operations is pivotal in making the organisation work seamlessly, but also build your knowledge of the wider business itself. Within the wider operational management area they have apprenticeships in either in investment operations, retail pensions operations or banking, reconciliation & controls.
Client Services Apprenticeship: Over your two year apprenticeship programme you’ll be based in the Surrey office. Depending on the team you join, you might be handling incoming calls from customers, making outbound calls, dealing with complex queries from customers by letter, phone and email, identifying innovations, or supporting new projects and initiatives.
Technology Apprenticeship: During your two years, you’ll not only learn how technology makes the organisation work better, but also build your knowledge of the business itself. The majority of the Technology Apprenticeship roles are based in Surrey.
Qualifications
You will be enrolled in industry-recognised, professional qualifications such as the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or Investment Management Certificate (IMC) to support your development and career goals.
What are they looking for?
They are looking for bright, curious problem solvers with a creative and innovative eye, who have drive and impact. You will need at least five GCSEs between 9-4 (or A*-C), two of which we prefer to be English and maths.
They accept applications from A Level and BTEC students too, no matter what your grades.You don’t need to have studied Business or IT, as long as you have the right attitude and thinking skills you need to look at things differently. To make the most of this opportunity you’ll need to demonstrate a passion for the world of business , plus you’ll need to be open to learning new things and demonstrate great verbal and written communication skills.
