Atos serves a global client base, and provides Consulting & Systems Integration services, Managed Services, Cloud operations, Big Data & Cyber-security solutions. They offer Apprenticeships in Business Administration and Project Management.Over 18-24 months you’ll gain a professionally recognised City and Guilds, or APM Level 4 qualification, equivalent to a first year of degree study, as well as the experiences, confidence and connections that will launch your digital career.
Business Admin
The business admin apprenticeship in operations or customer service, based in Birmingham. Its a 18-24 month programme. You’ll develop some of the most essential business skills around. You’ll develop an understanding of how businesses are structured, the principles and role of business ethics, how to manage resources and people to deliver business benefits, as well as understanding how to plan and deliver organisational change. You’ll learn the tools and techniques of business and risk analysis and how to apply the correct analytical techniques to get the best results. Just as importantly, you’ll develop your soft skills, including how to plan, and lead effective meetings, negotiation in a business environment, and developing effective business relationships.
Project Management
During this 18-24 months programme,you will learn the basics of project management, stakeholder engagement and project communications as early as possible, so you’ll be straight in the field and making an impact on real projects. From there you’ll learn plenty of specialist skills tailored to your talents and competencies. These could include managing project scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality, resources and contracts, or leading your own areas of responsibility.
Qualifications gained:
As well as an EAL level 4 diploma in Project Management, you could have the choice to work towards complementary courses, such as:
- Managing successful Programmes (MSP)
- Management of Portfolios (MOP)
- P3O
- Association for Project Management (APM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Prince2
Entry Requirements
For these schemes you’ll need 5 GCSEs / Scottish National 5’s or equivalent at grades 4-9 / A-C (including Maths and English), plus 2 A-levels / Highers or equivalent. One of your A-levels / Highers must be in Business Studies / Economics or a similar subject.
