With the significant cost of a degree combined with its potential devaluation, you may want at least to consider your options. There are a number of firms offering very attractive School Leaver Programmes. These are well paid and you may find run parallel to many graduate schemes. They have the attraction of being less competitive at A level entry, therefore gaining you entry into an organisation that you may struggle to secure as a graduate, when the competition is fiercer. You will also be debt free. These schemes are becoming increasingly popular with employers.

Government: MI5 Technical Apprenticeship
MI5 Technical Apprenticeship is aHigher Apprenticeship like no other. You'll be working with MI5, SIS and GCHQ to learn about - and work with - some of the world's best, most cutting edge technologies that sit at the heart of British intelligence. During the two year scheme you'll gain a recognised qualification (foundation degree) and unique insight into a world that you won't find on any university course. You will primarily be based at GCHQ in Cheltenham, where two thirds of your first year is classroom-based training. In your second year, you will spend about a third of your time in the classroom and the rest doing placements with MI5, SIS or GCHQ. You'll need three A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A-C, including at least two in science, technology or maths-related subjects.
Information Technology: BT Higher and Full Degree Apprenticeships
BT offers a number of technical apprenticeships including one in information technology. You will work in network design & management, software design or cyber security. All roles in IT are best suited to those with problem solving abilities and an aptitude for understanding the needs of customers.
This is a full degree apprenticeship in IT. This allows you to complete a full honours degree alongside your employment. You will not pay student fees, and will earn a wage throughout. To be eligible you must have attained 3 A levels at grades BCC or above, or an equivalent qualification. The full degree apprenticeships are located in London, Ipswich and Belfast.
Software roles involve working to design, develop, implement, test and support software applications that help BT to run its networks and systems. This could include anything from working on web applications, apps for smart phones and tablets or on BT’s internal systems.
There is a broad array of network roles. This could include opportunities to test global networks - new connections or on existing networks. It could also include working on the planning, installing and commissioning of new network elements.
The cyber security team are operationally responsible end-end security for BT Networks and to ensure that BT is protected from network threats, attacks and vulnerabilities, both known and emerging in a forever evolving threat landscape. Cyber security apprentices contribute to the development and improvement of security processes and procedures, as well as support the technical leads for specific deployment projects with responsibility for ensuring the technical integrity.
IT: Dyson Apprenticeship
Dyson offers a number of apprenticeships in IT, engineering and finance. Their IT function is the nerve centre of Dyson and spans their online presence, retail, customer care, marketing support, security, and the front and back office technology that drives the business .Joining as an IT apprentice you will be supported by industry experts and gain experience across service desk support, change management, operating systems, infrastructure and more. Through a mix of mentoring and innovative training, Dyson will help you translate your technical aptitude into business-ready skills - setting you up for a successful career at Dyson. They also sponsor you to study towards technical qualifications. You’ll have study time and support, as well as having all course fees covered and a competitive salary.
You’ll have finished your A’levels and, as you’ll be working with internal and external parties, experience with customers would be beneficial. You need to have a true passion for IT and an aptitude to learn and develop yourself.
Project Management: BAE Systems Apprenticeship
BAE Systems offer a five year Project Control Foundation Scheme. You’ll have the opportunity to earn an Honours degree in Project Management, while undertaking various placements within the business. You'll be joining Military Air & Information based at Warton or Samlesbury — the part of BAE Systems that designs, manufactures and supports some of the world's most advanced military aircraft. At the completion of the course you can look forward to the possibility of taking up a full-time position as a Project Controller. As a Project Controller you'll be the eyes and ears of the project, ensuring that it stays on track. A key benefit of this role is that you'll get a broad view across the project and can see how the jigsaw fits together.
To apply for this programme, you'll need academic qualifications of above 240 UCAS points. This could mean 3 grade C passes at A-Level, a Distinction profile in a National Certificate or Merit profile in a National Diploma

Research & development: Unilever Apprenticeships
Unilever offer a number of higher apprenticeships. Roles are offered in Business & Technology, R&D and Supply Chain & Engineering. If you look in your fridge, or on the bathroom shelf, you’re bound to see one of Unilever's well-known brands. They create, market and distribute the products that people choose to feed their families and keep themselves and their homes clean and fresh. Brands such as Ben & Jerrys, Persil, Cif and Dove belong to Unilever.
There are 3 R&D Higher Apprenticeships. The chemistry one is 4 years in length based in the Wirral. You will study for a BSc or BEng. It involvesa combination of workplace learning and higher education. You will actively contribute to the creation and innovation of Unilever products.
Typically three grade ‘B’ passes at ‘A’-level in relevant subjects although offers are made on the basis of interview performance

Unilver also offer 2 further apprenticeships, namely packaging technology and Refreshment R&D.
The Refreshment R&D is based at Colworth (Bedfordshire) and you build and contribute to a number of brands including Lipton, PG Tips, Flora, Magnum, Cornetto and Dove. There are two apprenticeships available. The first provides the opportunity to gain a BSc in Foods Science, Chemistry or Chemical Science. The second provides the opportunity to gain a BSc in Mathematics. Both schemes are designed to last five years dependent on the length of the programme of study. You are given one day per week during term-time to study; this can with be used for a ‘day release’ method of study or as dedicated study for a distance learning programme.
You need to have Sciences A-levels or equivalent at B grade or above (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Maths).
The Packaging Technology Apprenticeship is based in The Wirral and you need two A-level passes minimum grade C (or equivalent qualifications/or be awaiting results) in Mathematics and one other subject (Physics, Chemistry, Computing, Further Maths, Electronics or Engineering).
- The primary focus will be the development of personal and R&D skills and competencies
- Years 1-5 of the programme requires part time (1 day per week term time and some evenings) attendance at John Moores University to complete a MSc /B-Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering
- In addition, during Years 1 & 2, successful candidates will complete a diploma in packaging through the Institute of Packaging (IoP). Study for this will require approximately an additional 1 day per week.
- The overall objective of the programme is to deliver a range of skills and competencies to meet the technical requirements of the business.
Technical: Transactor Apprenticeships
Transactor Global Solutionsproduces a platform for a variety of insurance brokers worldwide. This combines a comprehensive back office solution with integrated, responsive websites and advanced call centre solutions. They currently operates from three offices in the UK. Their head office is based just outside of Winchester in a converted barn. The business is supported by a further two offices in Milton Keynes and Halifax. They also have an office in Poland.
The following roles are available on their apprenticeship program.
Our software developers are trained and mentored to be responsible for development, support and maintenance of TGSL software. They provide analysis related to software development, solve problems using Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, and software development technologies.
Our Project Administrators assist in the delivery of Transactor projects to clients through the extensive and effective use of project co-ordination, product configuration and training skills, and the application of in-depth TGSL product knowledge.
Our web designers are trained and mentored to be responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of TGSL e-commerce websites. They support the business in all life cycle stages from website specification to development of final product.
Release & Configuration Support Analyst
Our release & configuration support analysts are trained and mentored to be responsible for all software release and delivery of the Transactor products internally and to external clients. They are also responsible for the management of the TGSL internal IT systems.
Technical testers are trained and mentored to be able to facilitate the testing of all aspects of Transactor software by building and maintaining an automation framework, as well as other test harnesses.
1st Line Support Technician
Our 1st line support technicians are trained and mentored to be able to offer first line support to the TGSL client base through incident logging and maintenance, customer query investigation and resolution, and preparation of release documentation. They also provide testing support to the Test Department.
Technology: Accenture Apprenticeships
The Accenture Apprenticeship Programme consists of 3 years combined work and study. You will rotate across three different areas of business throughout your time on the course;
- Application Maintenance: the area of the business that provides support and expertise to clients’ to ensure operations are delivered and maintained without any problems. On this rotation you’ll hone technical development skills and get a full understanding of service delivery.
- Service Management: the single point of contact for all clients who use Accenture IT services. On this rotation you’ll be providing technical support to users.
- Testing: the area that verifies that systems or products meet the functional, performance, design and implementation specifications.
If you feel however that one area suits you better, then you will be able to concentrate more on that specialism.
Training & Development
As well as your on-the-job experience you will have structured training delieverd by Newcastle College (NCG) and Northumbria University, as you work towards Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeships. In your first year, your study with NCG will be concentrated in two ’semesters’. During those terms you’ll cover units that include Computer Systems, Data Analysis and Design, and Website Production. It’s not all about the technical side though, and you’ll also get training in communication skills.
In your second and third years, you will study for a Foundation degree in IT with Northumbria University covering topics such as Web Technologies and Application Development for Mobile Devices and also undertake work based projects. Meanwhile, your Accenture training will cover areas such as Software Design and Development, and Systems Analysis and Design.
Over the 3 years you will complete 200 days of training — half delivered by our education training partner (NCG) and half delivered by Accenture specialists.
You’ll emerge at the end of your apprenticeship with sharp business acumen, a wealth of technological knowledge, and a Higher Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professionals which includes a Foundation Degree and Edexcel Level 4 BTEC Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals (QCF)
In the first year you’ll earn £7,800 and £12,305 in your second and third years. You’ll also receive a £2,000 bonus when you finish. You will also have access to a nearby canteen and subsidised gym.
The apprenticeships are all based at Accenture's UK Delivery Centre in Cobalt Business Park, just outside Newcastle. This is one of Accenture’s centres for excellence — and is particularly focused on technology services delivery.
You don’t need any specific qualifications to apply to the apprenticeship scheme. You apply by sending a CV and covering letter via the website. This is followed by a telephone interview and assessment morning.
Technology: AstraZeneca IT Apprenticeship Programme
AstraZenaca ( MedImmune). MedImmune is AstraZeneca’s worldwide biologics research and development arm. They are one of very few innovation-driven biopharmaceutical companies to span discovery, development, manufacturing, distribution and worldwide commercialisation.They develop ideas into life-changing medicines. Their IT Apprenticeship offers a real alternative to full time University, with the opportunity to study for a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions, whilst working alongside world class industry leaders, gaining valuable workplace experience in key projects straight away. Technology: CGI Advanced IT Apprenticeship Programme
CGI is a technology consulting firm, formerly called Logica. Their apprenticship is aimed at school leavers with GCSEs. If you have A Levels, they offer a higher apprenticeship and a sponsored degree (see under study work options on this sit for further information). During your apprenticeship you’ll study for a recognised technology qualification.
They run the CGI Advanced IT Apprenticeship in partnership with a local training provider who will teach and support you while you complete your 12 months apprenticeship. During your technical training you may study for the following qualifications:

You’ll be given time out of your engineering job to work towards a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from WMG at the University of Warwick. You need at least an A in Maths A level to apply along with 340 UCAS points.
Technology: Fidelity Technology Apprenticeship
Fidelity International offers investment solutions and retirement expertise and are a privately owned, independent company.They invest USD $272 billion globally on behalf of clients in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Their clients range from pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, financial institutions, insurers and wealth managers, to private individuals.
Theirtechnology programmes run for between 18 months and 3 years, depending on the qualification you'll be working towards. During this time, you’ll build up your skills and experience by taking on different roles across the department. You will also be enrolled in industry-recognised, professional qualifications to support your development and career goals, starting with an Intermediate Level 3 qualification, and progressing on to an Advanced Apprenticeship.
What will you be doing?
Joining the team at the Hildenborough, London or Kingswood offices, you’ll undertake a number of different roles, each of which has been designed to challenge you and give you an idea of how technology supports the overall business. From working with project teams to designing iPhone apps and presenting solutions to the wider business, you can be sure that your role will be both diverse and exciting.
What they are looking for?
You need to be a bright, independent thinker with a serious interest in technology. You’ll need to have GCSEs in Maths and English, and they also accept applications from A Level and BTEC students too, no matter what your grades. Logically minded with a strong attention to detail, you’ll be able to spot solutions to problems quickly. And you’ll also need to be a team player, as you’ll be working with others throughout your apprenticeship to devise innovative, technology solutions. Strong numerical or analytical skills are essential and you’ll also need to be a great communicator.
Technology: Fujitsu Advanced IT Apprenticeship
Fujitsu are one of the worlds largest IT suppliers. They offer a range of intermediate and advenace apprenticeships. Their advanced IT apprenticsehips offers work with Release Management and / or Integration teams to acquire skills primarily through on the job training. They are looking for someone who has understanding of Microsoft Windows OS, Programming and logic skills, preferably Visual Basic or CMD scripting and Microsoft Windows Server products, including Windows Scripting, installing, configuring and supporting Windows Servers.
You need 3 A levels at C grade and above (or equivalent).
They also offer a degree apprenticeship programme where they will sponsor your studies as well as pay you. Your role would be based in our Fujitsu Basingstoke offices for the Defence and National Security account and will also involve you attending lectures at Winchester University to complete a BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology Solutions degree over a 4 year period. You need 280 UCAS points and experience or an interest in IT.

Towards the end of this degree you will have a period of specialisation with a dissertation and project to complete at work linked to business requirements. Each module you study will match up to the business area within Fujitsu that you will be working in, ensuring you are receiving work-based learning that is relevant to your course.
Technology: Goldman Sachs Technology Apprenticeships
Goldman Sachs offers aDegree Apprenticeship Program which combines higher education with vocational training to offer a fee-free alternative to the traditional University route. This program is suited for students looking to pursue a university degree and possessing a keen interest in building solutions to complex problems. You will be required to meet the minimum entry requirements of Queen Mary University of London where you will study for a degree in computer science.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Digital & Technology Degree Apprenticeship
As a Digital and Technology degree apprentice, you will play a key role defining, designing, developing and maintaining the IT systems upon which the business depends.
GSK offer Digital and Technology degree apprenticeships in an R&D setting – either in the IT function or in Product Development and Supply. This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a number of areas. These might include:
- Analysing business processes
- Present ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
- Developing user requirements
- Testing applications in controlled, real situations before going live
- Developing and delivering training for users
- Overseeing system change controls
- Supporting internal audits and external regulatory inspections
- Produce detailed system specifications
- Write new software code and build applications
- Prepare training manuals for users
- Maintain the systems once they are up and running.
You will be working in the Core Business learning from industry experts, while studying for a Bachelors degree in the IT Management and Business area whilst earning a competitive salary.
To be eligible for the Digital and Technology degree apprenticeship programme, you:
- must have/be predicted to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at A*-C grade including English language (not literature) and Maths, and an A*-C grade in a Science subject.
- must also have/be predicted to achieve a minimum of 320 UCAS (2016 tariff) or 128 UCAS (2017 tariff) points from your top 3 A-Levels or equivalent, which must include a Science (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Engineering or Computer Science.
The apprenticeships run for four years at either Stevenage or Ware sites. The apprenticeships based at Ware will also spend time at our Harlow site.
The IT apprenticeship programme provides you with the opportunity to work with and gain an in-depth understanding of world-leading technologies used throughout GSK. Its a three year programme and offers you the chance to obtain nationally recognised qualifications whilst gaining valuable, paid work experience. You will work towards completing a Level 4, higher apprenticeship.
You will be aligned to one of the main IT functions, combining on-the-job learning with a programme of training and development. Your role may involve:
- Improving business processes
- Supporting Manufacturing processes and technologies
- Developing new applications
- Designing new ways to use IT services
- Testing new systems
The scheme runs for three years and is offered at various GSK sites across the UK including Brentford, Stevenage, Ware, Worthing and Barnard Castle.
- You must have a minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above, including Maths and English Literature.
- You must also have/be predicted to achieve at least 200 UCAS points, or 80 in the 2017 tariff.
Technology: J.P Morgan Technology Apprenticeship
J.P. Morgan offer a Degree Apprenticeship program designed for post sixth-form or college students who are eager to launch their career within technology in the financial services industry. The four-year degree apprenticeship program offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of technology within financial services and the chance to obtain a full honours degree alongside valuable work experience at their Bournemouth technology hub.
Your degree will be delivered by a blend of virtual lectures alongside award-winning internal training. Coupled with the on-the-job learning, this will lead to your obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions.
Upon successful completion of the program, you could be offered a full-time position within the firm.
You’ll be part of a team from day one. Learning alongside industry experts you will develop skills and knowledge to help you as you start your career. You’ll have real responsibilities in a real working environment.
Entry requirments: 3 B grades at A-Level or equivalent to include at least one STEM subject. English and Mathematics B or above at GCSE. They also value strong communication and collaboration skills and excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with intelligence, passion and a drive to learn.
Technology: John Lewis IT Degree Apprenticeship
John Lewis is working with Queen Mary University London to deliver a level 6 IT Degree Apprenticeship.This four year programme offers you a permanent role on a structured programme combining ‘on the job’ work experience with studying for a full honours degree at a top London university. You will be studying towards a full BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions degree.
During the scheme, you will spend at least two days a week (term time only) at the Queen Mary University campus in Mile End, London. The remaining three days of the week will be spent working in one of the busy IT teams within the John Lewis head office in Victoria, central London.
You will be working in one of the following areas:
- IT Application Operations
- IT Infrastructure Operations
- Technical Design & Development Practice
- Testing & Environment Practice
What qualifications are required?
They are looking for a high achieving A’ Level (or equivalent) student, keen to follow a career in IT and predicted to achieve a minimum of 320 UCAS points in your A’ Levels (eg. A,B,B or equivalent not including General Studies).
Technology: Microsoft Apprenticeships
Microsoft offers a Technical Apprenticship Programme within their global support team. Working with industry experts, you’ll help troubleshoot complex and time-critical issues for customers. Honing your natural flair for technology and excellent communications skills, you’ll discover just what it takes to deliver first-class customer support that spans the globe.
They also offer a Business Apprenticeship programme. On this stream, you’ll find out how the organisation works – from the marketing that goes into promoting Microsoft around the world to they we deliver the technological solutions to customers. Whatever the project, you’ll get an unparalleled view of a global business.
Technology: National Grid Higher Apprenticeships
National Grid offers 3 higher apprenticeships, all based in Warwick and the solutions architect is also based in Wokingham, Berkshire. They include:
- Cyber Security
- Project Management
- Solutions Architect
They all lead to a foundation degree. You will be paid whilst you both study and work for a salary in excess of £23k.
They look for technical problem-solvers. You require at least 2 A-Levels / A2: Grades A* - C (1 must be in either Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Computing etc) or equivalent BTEC or HND qualifications.
Cyber Security Progarmme
The services involved in digital security are varied and wide-ranging. Project Controls provide a wide range of support services to the business which means you'll immerse yourself in them all – from Estimating and Risk Management, to Cost Management and Planning.
Technology: Nomura Technology Apprenticeship Program
Nomura is a leading financial services group and the pre-eminent Asian investment bank. It is launching a Technology Apprenticeship Program. It is aimed at young people aged 18 or over, who are motivated, ambitious, with a keen interest in Technology. The programme will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills and the knowledge you need to progress your career within one of Nomura's industry leading technology teams. In your first year you’ll spend time gaining a relevant NVQ qualification in partnership with Just IT Training. If successful you’ll then go on to study for further qualifications in your second year whilst having the opportunity to progress your IT career in a wide range of roles.
There are three key areas on the Apprenticeship Scheme:
Within the Development team, you’ll be working on cutting edge applications across a number of business lines. In Support you could be responsible for a number of systems that are critical to the running of the bank. If you prefer the Infrastructure side, you’ll be working on the infrastructure that supports all the major applications across the bank, from web applications to staff email and messaging.
- Interested candidates should be on course to achieve A to C grades in their A-levels and have a keen interest in technology. Minimum grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level
- Good communication skills are essential and commitment to a learning program

Technology: Red River Software Engineer Apprenticeship
Red RiverSoftware is a software development company focused on designing outstanding technology that can transform and revive businesses. They offer the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineer) Degree Apprenticeship which is run by the University of Chichester.
This 4 year course incorporates an in-house apprenticeship that provides you with a split of university-based modules and hands-on work experience in a relevant business. You will be employed full-time (4 days per week) in Horsham, West Sussex and attends the university on a day release basis (1 day per week) at the Bognor Regis campus. On successful completion, you will be awarded an honours degree. The core of the degree focuses on the study of IT in business and includes a blend of technology, business, project and transferable skills. Integrating academic learning and on-the-job practical training ensures that you graduate with the experience that employers need, now and in the future.
The core comprises around 60% of the programme and includes the following topics: -Foundations of Information Technology Systems -Systems Development Fundamentals -Data Fundamentals -Information and Cyber Security Fundamentals -Business Organisation Fundamentals -IT Project Management Fundamentals -Computer Systems and Network Fundamentals -Interpersonal and Foundation Skills Fundamentals.
They are seeking people who have a genuine interest in or affinity to software development and are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate some experience of projects or coding. The successful applicants will be interested in learning C#.NET, AngularJs, SQL, Mongo, MVC, Web API and a number of other technologies and platforms. During your time with Red River you will get experience of the full software project life-cycle and agile software development.
Technology: Santander Operations & Technology Degree Apprenticeship
Santander offers a number of digital and IT Degree Apprenticeship based in Leicester or Milton Keynes.
The Degree programme is designed to bring together a range of digital and technology disciplines, with a balance of technical competence and intellectual and practical skills that will support you both as a learner and as future digital and technology solutions professional.
The programme combines innovative study content with real-world experience and insight from expert tutors, delivering the practical skills and industry knowledge to help you to excel in the workplace.
The programme runs for four years and is split in to three core modules: Stage 1 (Level 4): 18 months, Certificate of Higher Education Stage 2 (Level 5): 18 months, Diploma of Higher Education Stage 3 (Level 6): 18 months, Bachelor of Digital and Technical Solutions
During your time on the Apprenticeship, you will look at the following areas: information technology systems, systems development, information and cyber security, business organisation and data analytics, project management and computer networks.
Who can apply?
You need to be genuinely passionate about using technology and predicted or achieved a total of 260 UCAS points in Maths, English, Science, Business Studies or IT (or equivalent), and the confidence to speak up when you see new ways to make things more simple, personal and fair.
Technology: SSE IT Degree Apprenticeship
SSE, based in Havant is involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity, in the production, storage, distribution and supply of gas and in other energy services.
Their Degree Apprenticeship lasts for four years and allows you to study for a degree at the same time as working full time. Your tuition fees are paid for you and you’ll be earning a salary. And at the end of the course you’ll graduate with an honours degree and the practical experience that will set you up for your career in IT. You will study a BA (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions at the University of Chichester.
You will work 4 days a week in the business and study 1 day a week at university.
The IT degree apprenticeship is a day-release programme where you will rotate through various roles within IT whilst completing your IT degree over four years. From the start you’ll learn the role of IT in business, helping to solve real problems using IT. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a whole range of different areas such as emerging technology, infrastructure support, system architecture and project management. Your final six months will be spent in a job role that is likely to be your full-time job at SSE once you’ve finished your Apprenticeship.

Technology: Tesco Level 4 Technology Apprenticeship
Tesco Technology have partnered with Hertford Regional College to deliver a programme that gives you the chance to build your technical knowledge and experience.
In your first year you will complete four short placements across the Tesco Technology teams. In your second year you will complete a 12 month placement focused on your development. Over the two years, you'll also be sponsored to achieve a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Technology with Hertford Regional College.
Successful apprentices will support and build the IT systems and technologies that underpin every aspect of Tesco's business. You will work on projects that are part of every customer’s shopping trip. You can also expect to support innovative systems that lead the way in retail technology.
To apply to this programme you need to have:
- 240 UCAS Points (excluding General Studies) in one or more of the following areas: ICT, IT Technical, Science or Maths
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C
- A passion for technology
Technology: Vodafone Level 4 Apprenticeship
Vodafone offers a level 4 apprenticeship which leads to a foundation degree.
In your first foundation year your Apprenticeship will be taken up with modules designed to give you a broad understanding of Vodafone and teach you the skills required to underpin your later development. So you’ll spend time on areas like Project Management, Business Analysis and Business Good Practice. For most of your Apprenticeship, your weeks will be spent doing real work within the business. Your four placements will give you the opportunity to not just see but truly experience a wide range of products and services.
Every four to eight weeks you’ll spend one full week studying off site. You’ll also get additional study time in-between where you’ll watch presentations delivered by video conference and participate in discussions and collaboration sessions with other students. Development study weeks are held every twelve weeks. You’ll spend one full week studying off site at different Vodafone site across the country, giving you the chance to experience more of Vodafone and see the impact of technology on people’s lives.
In your second year you’ll choose one of three specialist areas to develop your career. As you work through the Foundation Degree modules, you will also take part in soft skills workshops where you will hone the skills and experience you need to take you into your future career.
